Seal & Design Inc. was established in 1989 by Dean T. Penman, who brought with him over 35 years of experience in the seals and gaskets industry. Seal & Design today is a leading manufacturer and distributor of die cut gaskets, seals, Orings and molded rubber products. His philosophy included exceeding customer expectations with hard work and high quality products. The Company supplies to the automotive, medical, military, aerospace, electronics, power generation, hydraulics and many other commercial industries.
The Company has a mission of providing the highest quality products, technical support, delivery and service, at competitive prices. In 2003 the Company achieved the ISO/TS 16949 certification, which allows us to continue to grow in the seals and gaskets industries to become a World Class organization that will supply high quality products and service across the globe. Seal & Design’s customer focused attitude allows us to meet customers’ expectations in supplying specialty labels, logistics management and consignment inventory. The company currently operates out of a 51,000 square foot office, production and warehouse facility in Clarence, New York. To support future innovations in manufacturing, investments in technology and product development are guided by our goal of being a World Class organization. This allows us to provide better customer service, control costs and improve operating efficiencies. Seal & Design Inc. also has sales offices in Syracuse, New York, to help service and supply our customers in the Central New York area.In 2006, Seal & Design Inc. acquired Able O-Rings and Seals located outside Toronto, Ontario, to help service our Canadian customers. Able O-Rings and Seals became Able Seal & Design Inc. Able Seal & Design Inc. is also a distributor of gaskets, Orings and molded rubber products across Canada. Able Seal & Design Inc. also has a sales office in Calgary, Alberta, to help service and supply their customers in Western Canada. This acquisition allows Seal & Design Inc. to have a presence in the Canadian marketplace, which further supports the vision: To be a World Class sealing, Orings and Gasket Company, as evidenced in the company’s products and customer support.
